Spring Arbor's Kohler Receives National Player-of-the-Week Honors
SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University's Reagan Kohler has been named the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday.
It is the first national player of the week honor for Kohler, who has also received the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week award three times this season and four times total in her career.
Kohler was outstanding in the regular season finale, collecting seven saves to help the No. 13 ranked Cougars defeat No. 15 Indiana Wesleyan University 1-0 and clinch the Crossroads League regular season championship – the program's third title in four years.
On the season, the junior goalkeeper from Archbold, Ohio has recorded eight shutouts and has not allowed a goal in four consecutive games – a streak of more than 372 minutes. She currently boasts a 0.82 goals against average.
The Crossroads League Tournament is set to begin on Wednesday, Nov. 6. The No. 1-seeded Cougars (13-3-0, 8-1-0 CL) will host No. 8-seed Bethel University (6-5-6, 0-4-5 CL) in the quarterfinal round starting at 7 p.m. from the Cougar Soccer Complex.
