JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league's top athletes from December 27 through January 2. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week's winners.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Maddie Ryman, Grace
Ryman scored at least 22 points in both of Grace's victories in Florida, netting 28 in a blowout of Webber International and adding 22 in a 62-58 win at Keiser. In the two Lancer wins, Ryman averaged 25.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Antwaan Cushingberry, Saint Francis
Cushingberry helped No. 25 Saint Francis to a pair of wins, netting 29.0 points per game while shooting 58.8 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from deep. The guard also pulled in 8.0 rebounds per victory and added 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per outing for the Cougars.
