JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league's top individual performances from January 2 through 8. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week's winners.
Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Lilli Frasure, Indiana Wesleyan
Frasure helped No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan to wins over No. 12 Rio Grande, RV Grace and Huntington with 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.0 steals per victory. Frasure shot 51.1 percent overall and netted a career-high 32 points on 11-of-19 shooting in IWU's win at Rio Grande.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Jason Hubbard, Taylor
Hubbard led Taylor past Goshen and Saint Francis with two showings of at least 20 points, including a 23-point, 10-rebound, six-assist double-double in TU's win at USF. Hubbard shot 55.2 percent and averaged 26.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals in the two victories.
