JACKSON, Mich. – The final Crossroads League Athletes of the Week for the 2022-2023 year were announced on Monday, recognizing the league's top individual performances from May 8-14. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week's winners.
Baseball Player of the Week
Lucas Goodin, Indiana Wesleyan
Goodin collected three hits, including a home run and also drew two walks from the leadoff spot to ignite Indiana Wesleyan's offense in its 6-5 win in 10 innings against Huntington to secure the CL Tournament Championship.
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Hunter Hoffman, Indiana Wesleyan
Hoffman earned the win on the mound during Indiana Wesleyan's 6-5 win over Huntington for the CL Tournament Championship. Hoffman tossed three scoreless innings in the contest and picked up two strikeouts.
Women's Golfer of the Week
MacKenzie Dresbaugh, Marian
Dresbaugh led Marian to the 2023 Crossroads League Women's Golf Championship and came away with the medalist honors as well after winning a four-player playoff for the individual title. Dresbaugh posted scores of 77, 72 and 75 to top the field.
