Etchison Breaks Grace's Career Strikeouts Record

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Evan Etchison is the new strikeout king for Grace's baseball team.

Etchison set the record during Friday's opening game of a Crossroads League doubleheader against St. Francis.

The right hander struck out six batters in six innings during his outing. His record-setting moment came in the fourth inning as he fanned out the side.

He broke one of Grace's oldest records, surpassing the mark long held by John Sams of 224 strikeouts which was set in 1971.

Etchison now boasts 230 career strikeouts over his impressive four-year career.
