
Marian Bowling Captures Third-Consecutive CL Regular Season Championship
Mount Vernon, Ohio - The Marian men's bowling team completed their season-long Crossroads League Championship on Friday afternoon in the final regular season competition in the league season, earning their third win of the season to capture their third consecutive CL title.
Marian earned their third win of the Crossroads season with a total of 7172 pins, taking down Spring Arbor for the win by 58 pins. Marian's win was paced by a score of 3878 in the individual games, while scoring a 3294 in the baker games. Marian and Spring Arbor took the top two finishes, with Huntington, Indiana Wesleyan, Mount Vernon, Grace, and Bethel rounding out the field.
The Knights averaged a 205 score in the 16 baker games, with 10 games bowled with a score of 200 or better. In the individual games, Nolan Blessing led Marian with a total of 806 pins to finish fourth overall. Dylan Mollo finished eighth with a score of 785, and Nickolas Archacki finished 12th with his 784 score. Chad Burgess finished 36th overall with a score of 590 pins in three games, while Kyle Toyias finished just behind his teammate with 570 pins. Alex Wiles finished 53rd overall with his single game score of 201, and Jacob Neubauer competed in one game with a 142 pin total.
The Knights championship gives them an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship, which begins in late March. Marian will next compete at the Crossroads League Tournament Championship, taking place on February 29th in Jackson, Michigan.
