
CL Cross Country Races to Nine All-American Awards

KANSAS CITY – The Crossroads League showed well in Friday's 2019 NAIA Cross Country National Championships, claiming the individual title on the women's side, taking a second-place team finish on the men's side and tallying nine total All-American honors.
On the women's side, Taylor, Indiana Wesleyan and Huntington all turned in Top-10 team finishes, with HU's Hannah Stoffel becoming the first NAIA Women's Cross Country National Champion in Crossroads League history. Stoffel was followed by TU's Sarah Harden in fourth, Bethel's Emma Jankowski in 11th, HU's Molly Mitchell in 17th and Taylor's Livy Schroder in 26th to give the CL five All-American performances in the race.
The Taylor men stole the show in the men's race, placing second as a team and having Daniel Gerber, Hunter Smith and Josh Roth take seventh, 26th and 29th overall. Indiana Wesleyan's Chris Maxon collected the CL's fourth All-American award on the men's side with a 19th-place finish, while IWU, Huntington and Goshen finished eighth, 17th and 20th in the team standings.
