
IWU's Sweet Named NAIA Men's Runner of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Indiana Wesleyan men's cross country junior Braden Sweet was named the NAIA Men's Runner of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. In his first race of the season, Sweet earned his first national runner of the week honor of his career.
Sweet raced to a win on his home course at the Indiana Wesleyan Twilight Invitational. Sweet crossed at 24:42 to top the field of 196 athletes, while helping No. 3 IWU to a dominant first-place showing.
The Wildcats take the week off and will travel to Falcon Heights, Minn. on September 22nd for the Roy Griak Invitational.
