Whaley Reaches 200-Career Wins as Wildcats Down Trojans
UPLAND, IND. - No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball moved to 16-0 on the season with an 81-48 victory over cross county rival Taylor. The 16 wins to start the season marks the best start for the Wildcats since 2012-2013 when the program started 20-0. Head Coach Ethan Whaley notched his 200th career win in the victory, moving to 200-53 in his 8 seasons at IWU.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The Wildcats got off to a hot start, scoring 27 points on 62% shooting. Izzy Reed led the way with 10 points on 4-6 shooting.
- The Trojans turned up their defense in the second quarter, forcing 6 turnovers and held the red and gray to 33% from the field. Indiana Wesleyan would get outscored 16-14 in the frame but still held a 14 point lead at half.
- The IWU defense held Taylor to just 7 points in the third quarter for a 27 point lead at the end of the quarter.
- Koryn Greiwe and Tori Thompson led the Wildcats with 5 and 4 points, respectively, in the fourth quarter, helping to build their lead to as much as 36.
NOTABLE NUMBERS
- 29: IWU bench scored 29 points, including 15 in 4th quarter.
- 34: Indiana Wesleyan dominated the paint with 34 points, scoring 10 in every quarter except the 2nd.
