
Roshak Surpasses 1,000-Career Points in CL Quarterfinals
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's basketball team (15-14) entered postseason play on Wednesday, February 26 at Marian University (23-6) in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals.

No. 6 seeded MVNU got off to a slow start at No. 3 Marian, falling behind 0-9 in the early part of the first quarter. The Lady Cougars began to battle back but still trailed 12-20 after the first quarter. MVNU continued to struggle offensively in the second quarter, getting outscored 17-9. At the half, Marian held a commanding 37-21 lead.
The Knights came out strong in the third and built their lead up to 35 points, their largest of the game, with 2:51 left in the third. After three, MVNU trailed 35-60. MVNU showed a lot of fight in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Knights 20-11. In the end, MVNU fell by a final score of 55-71. Despite the loss, Angela Roshak hit a new career milestone. The junior from North Canton, Ohio surpassed 1,000 career points with her 18-point performance in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals.
