
Late Run Pushes Wildcats To NAIA Quarterfinals
SIOUX CITY, IA. - 1-seed Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball advanced the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship Quarterfinals with a 74-57 victory over 4-seed Georgetown. The Wildcats were led by strong performances from Lilli Frasure and Taylor Folkema. Frasure dropped 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists while Folkema scored 19 on a perfect 6-6 from the field and grabbed 9 boards. After losing a 15 point second quarter lead, IWU used a strong run late to secure the victory.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The Wildcats took an early 6 point lead in the first quarter and finished the quarter on a 5-0 run after GC had cut the lead to 2.
- An Izzy Reed three with 4:32 left in the first half gave Indiana Wesleyan their biggest lead of the game at 32-17. The Tigers cut the lead to 8 before Taylor Folkema beat the halftime buzzer with a layup to give IWU a 40-30 lead at the break.
- Georgetown cut the lead to just 1 with a 9-0 run to open the second half as the red and gray struggled to find open looks offensively. They tied the game with a free throw before a three from Brea Garber unlocked the offense for Indiana Wesleyan. The team finished the quarter on a 10 run to regain a double-digit lead.
- A pair of free throws from Lilli Frasure and a three from Emily Mattingly pushed the Wildcat lead back to 15. The lead would grow to as much as 20 before the final buzzer sounded.
