Marian Women's Bowling Wins Crossroads League Tournament

Goshen, Ind. - The Marian women's bowling team completed their 2024-25 Crossroads League season, finishing as the regular season runner-up on Saturday after the league's fourth match of the season. The Knights then went on to win the league tournament, earning their second Crossroads League Tournament Championship in program history.

For Saturday's Crossroads League Bowling #4, the Knights placed third in the field of eight, scoring a 4330 between baker and individual games. Spring Arbor won the event to seal their championship as they scored a 4558, while Huntington finished second, 17 pins ahead of Marian. The Knights total earned their runner-up place in the Crossroads League for the season.

Marian totaled a 2400 for their individual games, and bowled a 1930 in their baker games. Tandess O'Neal led the Knights individually, as she finished seventh overall with a score of 522. O'Neal averaged 174 per game for the tournament. Kristin Hosea finished 19th overall with a total of 480 pins, and Paige Richards finished 23rd overall with a total of 465 pins. Macie Hadley would place 27th with a total of 462 pins, and Abigail Dwyer and Dolores Bauerle combined to bowl a 483 in the final roster slot.

The Knights' placement from their baker games earned the No. 2 seed in the Crossroads League Tournament that followed the end of the regular season, with the Knights knocking out Spring Arbor 2-0 to reach the championship. In the title game against Huntington, Marian won two of three games to win the league tournament championship.

Elena Vanhoutin led Marian's JV efforts with her 24th place finish, scoring a 463 on the day. Skylar Thomas bowled a 455, Hailey Johnson scored a 412, Nadiah Rittenhouse bowled a 391, and the efforts of Natalie Black and Jade Munroe combined for a 370. Marian's JV team finished third with a total of 3692 pins knocked down.

Marian will compete next on February 15 and 16, as they play host in the annual Hoosier 500 at Western Bowl.
