No. 13 TU Women’s Golf Caps Fall with Dominant Win

MUNCIE, Ind. – A successful fall season came to an end for No. 13 Taylor on Saturday with the team's third tournament title in five showings, as the Trojans rolled to a 36-shot win at the Delaware Country Club Fall Invitational.

Taylor's dominant team showing was the result of the Trojans taking the top-three individual finishes among NAIA athletes at the six-team event.

Elizabeth Kemper led the wave of purple, shooting a 77 and 79 to finish in third-of-47 and just ahead of Shayne Lim, who took fourth with rounds of 76 and 81. Trailing just back of Kemper and Lim was Ellie Beavins, who finished seventh after surging with a second-round tally of 77.

Margarita Garrido took ninth to give Taylor four of the top-five NAIA finishers, while Alyssa Schmidt gave the Trojans a fourth top-20 showing by ending in 18th.

No. 13 Taylor (29-4) will resume its 2023-2024 season in the spring.
