Lim Leads No. 20 Trojans to Ackerman-Allen Shootout Title

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Taylor women's golf team cruised to its fifth team title of the 2023-2024 season, topping the five-team field at the Ackerman-Allen Shootout by 16 strokes for the top spot.

The Trojans posted the two best team scores of the day with rounds of 306 and 300 and showcased their depth by placing six individuals within the top-11 finishers.

Shayne Lim led the charge, winning for the second time this season and the third time in her young career by carding rounds of 74 and 72 to finish at two-over par and six strokes up on teammate Margarita Garrido in second place.

Garrido turned in back-to-back rounds of 76 to end at 152, while Ellie Beavins ended in fifth and Elizabeth Kemper took seventh. Alyssa Schmidt and Ellie Karst ended in a tie for 11th.

No. 20 Taylor will continue its spring season on Monday, April 22 at the Sagamore Invitational in Noblesville, Indiana.
