Porter Named NAIA Setter of the Week
MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan volleyball junior Abbigail Porter was named the NAIA Setter of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. This marks the fourth time the Winona Lake native has claimed the honor, winning it three times last season.
"Abbie is the anchor of our offense," said Head Coach Candace Moats after Porter was named the Crossroads League Setter of the Week. "She demands a lot of herself and gives it all everyday in practice and matches! I am proud of her leadership and desire to always look out for her teammates."
Porter led the Wildcats to sweeps of No. 16 MVNU and Huntington with 12.5 assists per set. Porter had at least 36 assists in each match and averaged 3.5 digs and 0.8 blocks per set. In the sweep of MVNU, Porter totaled 36 assists, 16 digs, and three blocks.
The Wildcats take on No. 22 Marian on Wednesday at 7:00 PM in Indianapolis.
