Demarchi Powers Wildcats Into Quarterfinals
SIOUX CITY, IA. - No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan volleyball advanced to the 2024 NAIA Women's Volleyball Quarterfinals for the third time in program history and second consecutive time on Friday evening with a 3-1 win over No. 15 Montana Tech. Marissa Mullins reached 1000 career kills in the victory, with 606 of those coming at Indiana Wesleyan. Grad Student Martina Demarch ipowered the Wildcats to the win with 20 kills, 4 aces, 7 digs, and 3 blocks.

Match Vitals
- The Wildcats struggled to find their rhythm in set one, giving up runs of 6-2 and 8-1 in a 25-16 loss.
- Indiana Wesleyan found their groove in the second set, taking a 9-6 lead before a 7-1 run put the red and gray ahead by 8. 3-0 runs by both teams forced timeouts from both squads, but IWU would finish with a 25-18 win.
- The Wildcats again took an early lead in set three, going up 10-5 and forcing the Ore Diggers to use their first timeout. A 7-1 run finished the set with a 25-17 victory for Indiana Wesleyan.
- IWU scored the first 6 points of the fourth set, led by an impressive serving run for Cadee Notter. Montana Tech responded with an 11-4 run to take an 11-10 lead. After the teams traded several points the Wildcats went on an 11-2 run to secure their spot in the quarterfinals.
- Martina Demarchi had a match high 20 kills. Eva Joldersma chipped in 13.
- Marissa Mullins tied her career high with 8 blocks. Abbigail Porter and Demarchi each had 3.
- Cadee Notter and Camaya Murry both tallied 16 digs. Dayessi Luis reached double-digits with 10.
- Abbigail Porter led the way with 39 assists.
