AUSTIN, Texas - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2024 NAIA Volleyball Academic All-American Teams on Tuesday, with three student-athletes representing the Crossroads League on the list.
Indiana Wesleyan's Eva Joldersma and Abbigail Porter were voted as First-Team Academic All-Americans, with Mount Vernon Nazarene's Lyssi Snouffer earning Second-Team honors. IWU's Joldersma claimed the highest honor, being selected as the CSC NAIA Volleyball Academic All-American of the Year.
The CSC Academic All-District and All-American awards are designed to showcase outstanding student-athletes with a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average who have reached sophomore status academically and have played in at least 90-percent, or started in 66-percent of their team's competitions as a key performer during the current season.
CSC Academic All-American honors are voted on by CSC members from around the nation. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must first be selected as CSC Academic All-District performers, after being nominated by their institution's Sports Information Department.
